Sometimes the world can feel like a very lonely place.  We feel no one understands us.  We struggle to see solutions to problems in our lives.  We have convinced ourselves we are alone and no one cares.  The truth is, life is hard and sometimes the world is a lonely place.  Some people will leave us.  When we’re scared, we may choose to isolate from others to protect our hearts.  But things can be different; they can be better.  We can make choices that bring about better outcomes.  We can choose to take care of ourselves.  It’s never too late to turn things around.  We just need help sometimes to learn how.

“I prefer to think of my clients and myself as fellow travelers; we’re all in this together, and there is no therapist and no person immune to the inherent tragedies of existence.”    ~Irving Yalom
